Tarragon is a sharp but fragrant herb from the daisy family. Thanks to its thin long leaves, it can be easily distinguished from many greens.
The homeland of the tarragon plant, which is also known as green gold, dargun or dragon grass, is Siberia. However, because it is very valuable, it is started to be grown in many countries over time. In Turkey, tarragon is mostly found in and around Bayburt, in Ankara, Erzurum, Gaziantep and Şanlıurfa.
Its leaves can be used in many dishes, both fresh and dry, adding a pleasant aroma and flavor.
