Cress is a green leafy plant from the cruciferous family. Chard is part of the Brassicaceae family of vegetables, which also includes Brussels sprouts and cabbage. It has a stem consisting of many green leaves in the form of bunches. It is also known by various names such as Habburreşad or hurf.
Cress, which is generally grown in the Aegean, Marmara and Mediterranean regions, can be easily grown in every region of our country, except for the very hot summer months. It is planted in the spring and the growing leaves are harvested one month after planting.
